The architectural partnership of Carrère and Hastings was new when they entered the competition to design the first of The New York Public Library's buildings, but their majestic yet graceful beaux-arts design won out over many more experienced architects' submissions. This drawing of the east elevation of what is now known as The Stephen A Schwarzman Building, shows the entrance on Fifth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets that New Yorkers as well as visitors from around the world have come to know and love well.
The poster is printed on high quality heavy matte stock; image dimensions 46 x 20 inches on a 50 x 25 inch sheet.
