Mova Rotating Copper and Black Desk Globe

The MOVA Copper and Black Globe will operate virtually anywhere indoors in average room light, with no batteries, wires, or maintenance of any kind. Globe comes with an elegant three-finger stand, but will operate on any stand or surface (except for those made of iron or a metal alloy that can be magnetized).

Globe measures 4½ inches in diameter and stands 7¼ inches high. Buoyant inner globe is virtually friction-free.

Chalk Pad

Reminiscent of an old schoolhouse slate, the chalk pad (think the iPad for a Luddite) is great for grocery lists, sketches, messages and plans.

Made from reclaimed wood—walnut, oak, maple, cedar—acquired in the trash/scrap of a local furniture maker`s shop, reclaimed black leather (WWII spats, WWII gun holster, early 1900s purse, etc.) and chalkboard paint. The board is sanded smooth though may show signs of the wood`s prior use such as nail burn holes, nails, bug holes, etc. The back and sides are finished with natural tung oil and the sides are beveled.
