This is the paper coffee cup with a stylized Greek lettering and key motif, We are happy to serve you in gold and blue that New Yorkers most often get their drinks from street vendors in. It's also widely used by homeless people asking for change, and so it follows that part of the proceeds from the sale of each purse goes to HELP USA, an organization working with the homeless since 1986. The purse was designed by George Skelcher, a NYC artist, and is well made of printed leather; it closes with a sturdy brass zipper and comes in an attractive gift box with information about HELP USA.

Leslie Buck, was the sales manager for the paper company Sherri and designed the Anthora. Sherri was keen to crack New York's hot-cup market. Since many of the city's diners were owned by Greeks, Mr. Buck hit on the idea of a Classical cup in the colors of the Greek flag. Though he had no formal training in art, he executed the design himself. It was an instant success.
