This key pendant is a replica of the key used in the opening ceremonies of The New York Public Library, now known as The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, on Tuesday, May 23, 1911. The key itself was designed by the venerable jewelers Black Starr and Frost and the central medallion was from a mold cast by Victor David Brenner, sculptor of the original Lincoln Penny.
